International Master’s Research Scholarships 2022 

The University of Otago International Master’s Research Scholarship 2022 is intended to provide financial support for international students who study at the University of Otago for the 2022/2023 academic year and beyond for the defined length of the program. The scholarship is awarded with admission into a select Master’s program with research or thesis option included. Note that this scholarship is not intended for Master’s students who have enrolled in coursework programs.

Requirements for the International Master’s Research Scholarships 2022

To eligible for the International Master’s Research Scholarships 2022, applicants must: 

  • Be enrolled or enrolling in a Master’s Program at the University of Otago
  • Be an International Student from any part of the world
  • Apply to or enroll in a research or thesis-based Master’s program

The scholarship is highly competitive and awarded based on merit. Hence, applicants must exhibit excellent academic background from previous studies. 

How to Apply for the International Master’s Research Scholarships 2022 

There is no deadline for the Scholarship, however, applicants must apply to the preferred research-based Master’s program before the program deadline.  

Applications for the scholarship can be made online through the University of Otago’s online portal after applying for admission into a program. 

The scholarship application forms will be available to an applicant in their online portal when: 

  • they apply for admission into the a thesis program, with the thesis commencing from the start of the program
  • they are about to begin their thesis work if it does not start straight away
