Fully-Funded Orange Knowledge Program (OKP) Scholarships for 2022 by the Dutch Government.
The Orange Knowledge Program is opened for applications. The program seeks to contribute to the sustainable and inclusive development of society. This fully-funded scholarship is awarded by the Netherlands government and is opened to mid-career professionals in specific countries. The initiative is developed and sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Development Cooperation budget, and it is managed by Nuffic.
The goal of the Orange Knowledge Programme is to help individuals and institutions in higher and vocational education increase their capacity, knowledge, and quality. The scholarships offers are available for a selection of short courses (duration 2 weeks to 12 months) and master’s programs (duration 12 to 24 months). Scholarship recipients are chosen only for the course or program at the Dutch institution they applied for a scholarship.
Chosen applicants will acquire requisite skills that will enable them make significant contributions to their home countries after studies.

Eligibility Requirement for the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) Scholarship 2022
The applicant must be:
- a national of and working in any of the countries listed above.
- a mid- career professional
- motivated and have the necessary expertise and experience in his/her field of interest or employed in a priority theme (area). These areas are;
- sexual and reproductive health and rights
- security and rule of law
- food and nutrition security
- water management
- Comply with the OKP obligations.
- able to provide an employer statement signed by applicant and the employer and a government statement if he/she is a civil servant.
- willing to return to home country and share the knowledge and experience gained.
- a fluent user of the English or French language.
How to Apply for the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) Scholarship 2022
Note that applications can not be done on the official website of OKP
- Applicants need to make sure their application fall under the OKP target areas for their respective countries.
- Find a program of study using the OKP course list.
- Contact the Dutch education institution of your choosing for further information on the application method, academic qualifications, and the online application link.
- Prepare the necessary documents for the application. This must include: employer statement, motivation, passport, government statement (if required). Check: Required Documents Here
- Submit your application online during an application round using the URL provided by the Dutch education institution. (Keep the deadline for applying to the educational institution chosen).
- The rounds expected for 2022:
- Round 1 – Both masters and short courses
– Accepting applications – 3rd February, 2022 – 21st March, 2022.
– Both masters and short courses should start between 25 July and 21 November 2022.Round 2 – Only short courses
– Accepting applications – 12th May, 2022 – 27th June, 2022.
– Courses should start between 21 November 2022 and 20 February 2023.Round 3 – Only short courses
– Accepting applications -1st September, 2022 – 10th October, 2022.

- Educational institutions may set a shorter deadline for application. Thus, consult respective institutions for the exact deadlines.
- Results of applications are announced 3 to 4 months after application.
- Applicants must be eager to pursue the aims of the programme.
- Applicants must show commitment to return home after studies.
