About the MA Political Science Scholarship at Brock University | 2023/2024 | Study in Canada

The MA Political Science Program at Brock University is a 12 months research-based program with Major Research Project (MRP) or Thesis options. The MA program aims to teach students how to focus on the ideas, institutions and processes that shape our lives, helping them to become better members and effective leaders of the global political community.

The Brock MA in Political Science allows students to concentrate their studies in one of five sub-fields of political science: Canadian politics, comparative politics, international relations, political philosophy or public policy. Students specialize in one of these sub-fields but also receive training in the great works and research methodologies of the larger discipline of political science.

  • February 1st
  • Applications are expected to open in October for 2023 entry.
This program is funded for the defined length above, as outlined on the university’s financial page. Note that the amount of funding is not stated as the value of each scholarship depends on the strength of your application.
Successful applicants are automatically considered for full funding, including Graduate Teaching Assistantships. There is the opportunity for other on-campus jobs such as Research Assistantship positions.

Admission Requirements of the MA Political Science Scholarship at Brock University

  1. Applicant must hold a four-year degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited university with a minimum 75% (mid-B) average over the last two years of full-time undergraduate study.
  2. Complete the online application and submit the non-refundable application fee.
  3. You will need to submit your transcripts as well as the following program-specific materials:
    • Three references are required.
